Water's Edge 3

Pastel on textured surface, 6x6 image, 11x11 framed

This piece was painted in Olde Mystic, Connecticut. I don't get to paint out of state very often but I had a chance to paint at this wonderful marsh in April. More information on this painting on the landscape portfolio page.

Nice pastel. I love pastel but have not done any during my 40 consecutive Painting a Day, I love the soft edge you have in these. Maybe I should do some pastels before this project is done. I gather you are attempting to do a painting a day...almost. Believe me if I had not started this 40 day thing, I think it would be tough to maintain. I have learned a lot about myself and pacing myself to reach the daily goal. I always ask my self, if I do this or that will I be able to paint a good painting. today.
