Waiting for Spring

Pastel on sanded paper, 5x5, Sold

It's snowing again. The only thing to post is something titled "Waiting for Spring". I painted this last year at Black Rock Farm in Kennebunkport where they had lots of pots stacked up - waiting for spring. It's supposed to be 54 degrees here tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it.

This painting is framed in an ornate 3" wide brown wooden frame which suits the painting perfectly. The price includes shipping within the US. Email me if you're interested and I'll photograph the frame as well.

Marsh Nocturne #1

Pastel on sanded Wallis paper, 5x5, $95.00

I finally got out to paint today. Scarborough Marsh was completely deserted and a little snow was still left on the ground but it was warm enough to paint for awhile. This is a nighttime view of the marsh. The image is 5x5 and is matted in an elegant handcut white mat to 11x14, which fits a standard size frame. This original painting is available unframed for $95.00 or in a gold metal frame for $125.00. Shipping within the US is included. For more information email me.

Afternoon Glow

Pastel painting on handmade paper, 5x5, $95.00

I've been in California visiting the grandchildren. No painting got done but I have a lot of photographs to work from and our regular paint out expeditions here in Maine are about to begin, so there will be new artwork to be posted soon. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile I will repost some of the unsold pieces that have gotten lost in the archives. Here's the first repost. "Afternoon Glow" is such a soft piece that it is a reminder that the softness of spring will come -- sometime. This image is 5x5 and matted to 11x14. Shipping within the US is included. For more information see original post on Dec 10.
