The landscape is my passion and soft pastel is the medium I chose most often to describe my landscapes. I paint "en plein air" as much as possible. Although my paintings are far from photo realistic (I think of them as interpretations of the landscape), I like to begin a piece on location. This is the home page of the blog where I post new work as it is finished. You will find more paintings and information about them on the portfolio pages (links in the righthand side bar). Be sure to check the events page to find where the paintings can be seen, there is a link for that also. If you see something that catches your eye please email me.

Watercolor on paper, 5x7, $95.00
I've been experimenting with some new watercolor/ink pencils while I am here in California. It's an easy travel medium and I love the bright colors and the interesting washes they produce. More like working with ink than watercolor. So here's my first post with my new medium. After I realized these friut have a heavy list to the left I just knew what the title had to be. Watercolor is so much easier to ship than pastel that I thought these could be purchased unframed and you can do as you like when you get it. As usual shipping within the US is included in the price.
