Pastel on French Handmade Paper, 5x7, gold plein air frame I've been painting on the Eastern Prom in Portland this week with some of my friends. This is the first piece I did on Wednesday. Casco Bay as seen from the Prom is one of the most challenging seascapes to paint. The colors constantly change by the minute depending on clouds, atmosphere, fog etc. On Wednesday the changes were never ending. Makes for an interesting painting experience.
