Finally it's time for the Boothbay Region Art Foundation to open for the summer. I'm getting some prints, original 5x5 pastels, and 3 of these small oil paintings ready for the first show which opens on Wednesday, May 26. The grand opening reception is Friday, May 28 from 4-6PM. If you're in the area be sure to stop in.

I have paintings in 2 shows this weekend. Maine Women in the Arts holds their Annual Awards Show Friday through Sunday at the Brick Museum in Kennebunk. The Reception is at 5 on Friday. Freeport Square Gallery holds their reception for "Local Color" on Friday at 5 in Freeport. That show continues til the end of the month. See the events page for more details.

Facebook Painting Challenge

We have a painting challenge going on on Facebook. Several Maine artists will paint as many small paintings as possible during the month of May. I don't expect to win, but I will have fun making some paintings. These are the first 2, completed yesterday at Pemaquid Point. Check on the Daily Paintings page to follow my progress.
