Sunrise Over Casco Bay
Acrylic and mica on cradled birch panel, 10x10
Here's the 4th in the mica series. I was driving early one morning across from Macworth Island in Casco Bay. The sunrise was spectacular. Not orange as usual but a white gold. More information on all the mica paintings on the acrylic portfolio page. Or you can email me.

Winter Marsh
Acrylic and mixed media on cradled birch panel, 10x10,
This is the second in my "mica" series. It is hard to see the mica in the photograph but it's there on the ice flows. It creates an interesting effect. The 1" sides of the panels are painted black. The painting is ready to hang or it can be framed. More information on the acrylic portfolio page of the blog. Or you can email me.

First Painting of 2010
Pemaquid Wave #1, acrylic and mixed media, 10x10 cradled birch panel
Finally, I have completed my first painting of the year. This took quite a while to finish as I was working with several new products including some new Golden mediums. I love working with mixed media but I haven't done anything like this for quite awhile. More information about this painting on the acrylic page. There is a link on the righthand side bar. Or you can email me.

2010
Happy New Year. Recently a number of people have asked me where they can see my paintings during the winter months when the summer galleries that show my work are closed. Here's the answer. For the next couple of months several pieces will be shown at the new Maine Studio gallery at 235 Presumpscott St in Portland. I also have about a dozen paintings available year round at the Nationwide Insurance Offices at 949 Brighton Ave also in Portland. Work at both locations is available for sale. And of course you can view my entire portfolio online at fineartamerica.com. They also handle print and card sales. There is a link over on the righthand side bar for that website. Any questions - drop me an email.
