Is it Spring??

I had a great day today. Plein air painting with my friends from Boothbay Harbor. Here's my friend Corinne painting in Grimes Cove. It's so incredibly beautiful there. It was a balmy 45 degrees. Who knew you could paint out in Maine in February? Hopefully a few paintings of Grimes Cove will get posted over the weekend.

Yesterday I took all 5 of the paintings down to Portsmouth, NH for the show at 100 Market St.

My computer screen is showing a blue cast to this painting. It may be the screen or the fact that they were photographed under the glazing, which is acrylic. Here's the first of the 5 paintings going to the show in Portsmouth. These pieces are very different from my pastel work in some ways but not in others. I think they have the same mysterious quality. This is from my Midsummer Night's Dream series. The lighting at the bottom is a little dark - I had to photograph these already framed, the frame is very deep and so the shadow effect in the photo. New Show Feb 13 - April 19

I've just had 5 of my paper pulp paintings accepted into the Fiber/Textile Show at the Gallery at 100 Market St. in Portsmouth, NH. This will be the first time that all 5 have been shown together.
