Golden Marsh

It is a very dreary, foggy day here today. I thought a colorful painting was called for. This is a summertime interpretation of Scarborough Marsh. Island Glow

It's about time I posted another painting. I love this view of Casco Bay. This place is called Trefethen which is a passage between Peaks Island and Great Diamond Island. You can easily see this from the Eastern Prom and there is something about the view that fascinates me. It is very atmospheric and the colors are always different. This piece is sold but trust me there will be another painting of this view sometime soon. The image is available as a notecard and is included in the Casco Bay Assortment.

Endangered Species

I won't be able to post a painting tomorrow so I'm adding a second today. Same ancient tall white pines. These are the trees they used to make masts of in the time of wooden sailing ships. This piece is quite a bit larger than most of the paintings I post. I generally make paintings this size as a commission project. This image is also available on notecards.

Woodland Nave

It is snowing and snowing and snowing. I decided to put up a summer picture today. These are the beautiful white Maine pines in the village of Sheepscot. They are very old and quite extraordinary. This image is available on a notecard, see information at the right of screen.

Blue Vase

I am doing more still life these days. This vase with flowers was sitting next to the window on the fireplace mantle in our summer cottage and I loved how it caught the light. First Snow
